Mizzen+Main on the PGA Tour

Posted

Mizzen+Main golf clothes are no stranger to the PGA Tour, but with the start of the 2022 season, don’t be surprised if you see a little more Mizzen on your tv screen every weekend.

With the recent addition of Mackenzie Hughes, Brendon Todd, and Austin Cook, every course on the PGA Tour just got a little more comfortable. Below, you can meet all three of Mizzen+Main’s PGA Tour pros and learn what they look for in a go-to golf outfit.

Mackenzie Hughes

Mackenzie Hughes started golfing at 7-years-old when his parents decided against a babysitter and instead brought him along to the driving range. While the Canadian had dreams of playing in the NHL, it wasn’t long until he started swinging a different stick. Turns out, that was a good call.

The 2014 RSM Classic Champion and 2020 Olympian, Mac is also the first player in Tour history to win on the Mackenzie Tour–PGA Tour Canada (PGA Tour-era), Korn Ferry Tour, and the PGA Tour. We asked him what he likes about wearing Mizzen+Main on the course and this is what he said:

“I love the feel of everything Mizzen has. The pants are comfortable and stretchy, and the fabric really moves with you. These clothes make it easy to stay loose on the course, and obviously, they look great.”

He started the 2022 season as #55 in the World Golf Rankings, but with exemptions into all four majors, don’t be surprised if he creeps up a little higher.

Brendon Todd

A former college All-American at the University of Georgia, Brendon Todd is a living example of the kind of journey professional golf can take you on. Looking at this 3-time PGA Tour winner, you may think that he’s been married to the game, but his story (like so many others) isn’t quite so straightforward.

After finishing his first PGA Tour season with 10 straight missed cuts, and then later in 2016 missing the cut in 20 of his final 21 events, Brendon has consistently battled back into the winner’s circle. Both instances are a testament to the grit and perseverance he brings to the game of golf, something that he hopes to ride into this next season.

With such a wide range of PGA experience, Brendon understands the value of feeling comfortable over the ball:

“I'm excited to partner with Mizzen because feeling at ease on the course is a top priority when I play week after week. All the shirts fit perfectly right out of the box and the Helmsman shorts and pants are my new go-to. It’s nice to not even have to think about putting these things on. Now, I can just focus on playing great golf.”

Look great. Play great. Keep an eye on the back nine on Sunday afternoon’s and don’t be shocked if you see Brendon there.

Austin Cook

At the age of 30, Austin Cook is the youngest of Mizzen+Main’s new trio, but with two kids at home, he fits right in alongside the family men of Mizzen. Austin has had ten top 10’s over his PGA career, including a win at the 2018 RSM Classic and a T2 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

In addition to being involved with the St. Jude Children's Hospital where he works with special-needs children, Austin is one of the nicest people you could ever run into. His easy-going attitude made him a perfect fit for the Mizzen+Main brand which is all about not taking things too seriously.

Take one look at any of the Mizzen photos of Austin and you’ll get a great idea for how much fun he likes to have off the course:

“Partnering with Mizzen has been a blast. I love the clothes obviously, but really, I’ve just enjoyed hanging out with a group that’s easy to work with and makes the sponsor-player relationship actually enjoyable.”

Across the board, Mizzen+Main has found three golfers who match the brand in style, skill, and personality. From here on out, look for them on Sundays. We can’t wait to see these guys in the winners’ circle.
